The DragonBall franchise has become a veritable empire, encompassing a mountain of manga, a pile of movies and three very, very long television series (DragonBall, DragonBall Z, and DragonBall GT). Created by Akira Toriyama (exempting DBGT), all three series focus primarily around Goku, a young nature-bred boy in DragonBall who grows to become a mighty warrior of alien (Saiyan) origins in DragonBall Z and then finally gets transformed back to a boy in GT. The DragonBall franchise is extremely high on action, friendship (with a wealth of colorful characters), and good times.
